Welcome to Merenre

February 2011

I picked the name merenre as it is Egyptian, and I love pretty much anything about Egypt.
I've been attempting to find where the name Merryn came from and as I was searching I came across Merenre.
It has nothing to do with Merryn! So far I have found out that Merryn is ancient Celtic.

If you would like to know more about Merenre have a look at this website. But in a nutshell. Merenre I was the oldest surviving son of Pepi I. His pyramid, in Saqqara South, appears not to have been completed. The mummy found inside the pyramid would be the oldest known royal mummy, if it actually is Merenre.
